Then one day, his dreams came looking for him." For thousands of athletes with disabilities across America, the dream of playing competitive baseball has always been just out of reach. On July 21st, that dream comes home... to the field where the dreams were born! Alternative Baseball Organization® brings its nationally recognized Playing for Community Integration Tour to the Field of Dreams Movie Site for an evening of baseball, community, and inclusion unlike nearly anything seen before. In the classic style that God, Baseballmericana, and Ray Kinsella himself intended, two teams of Alternative Baseball® athletes with disabilities take the field alongside local community leaders, dignitaries, and former professional athletes for a full 9-inning exhibition under the Iowa sky... as the sun sets over the corn and the lights come on over the diamond. Community leaders from mayors, council members, commissioners, state representatives, musicians, television personalities, law enforcement, first responders, media, and former professional athletes all come together to champion awareness, acceptance, and community integration of people with disabilities through the hands-on experience of America's Pastime. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be open. No tents or canopies permitted on premises. Experience baseball the way it was meant to be played; on an open field, under the Iowa sky, with nothing between you and the game.
