Description
Dubuque County Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting a fun filled family/community event called "conservation days" at the Dyersville green space. We have about 22 different agencies coming together for families to learn about all things conservation and wildlife. Some participants include Iowa DNR, Pheasants forever, Natural resource conservation service, Iowa State Extension, Ellen Kennedy Library, Cox springs farms, Recker Farms, Dubuque County Conservation, and many many more. We will have booths along the green space trail in Dyersville that families can learn and interact as they enjoy the beautiful North Fork River walk. We will have live animals and lots of interactive things for folks to see. Booth examples include: soils, pollinator, butterflies, pheasants, trees forever, stream biology, wildlife rehab, UNI professor live wood turtles, goat grazing, mushroom inoculation, Mississippi river museum, fish hatchery, and many more. This is a free event and all are welcome. Food trucks will be available if people wish to buy food.
