How To Avoid Scams

Investigator Al Perales of the Consumer Protection Division will be at the James Kennedy Public Library to give a presentation on consumer scams. Topics to be covered include: Why are Older Iowans targets; Why do scams work?; Top scams affecting the State of Iowa; and Top 10 tips to protect yourself from scams. This event will be recorded and posted to the library’s social media after the program. Note: Al Perales will also hold drop-in office hours from 11:00 am-4:00 pm (with a break for the program listed above) at the library.
