New Vienna Benefit Tractor Pull
Description
This year's New Vienna Tractor Pull will be held to raise funds for James Hall.
James Hall is the happy, mean-mugging, hamburger-loving, rambunctious one-year-old son of Ashley (Otting) and Nate Hall. James is the well-loved baby brother of doting siblings Evan and Alaina. In the spring of 2021, James began to experience a never-ending string of ear infections. Then in May, after a CT scan for a suspected cyst, James was found to have a tumor on his left temple. He was sent to Iowa City and has undergone more testing than any little boy should have to endure. James was ultimately diagnosed with Langerhans-Cell Histiocytosis (multi-system). New research on LCH is changing how some in the medical field view and classify the condition, but treatment and follow up remains similar to traditional cancer chemotherapy regimens.

The Hall family will be required to return to Iowa City weekly for the first 6 weeks for James to receive weekly chemotherapy treatments, in addition to twice daily steroid therapy at home. After those six weeks are up, he will have to continue receiving chemotherapy in Iowa City every three weeks for the next year. And like all children treated for cancer or cancer-like conditions such as LCH, James will require long-term specialized care and support.
The New Vienna Tractor Pull is designed to help alleviate the financial hardship of James’ multi-year treatment..Auction items for the New Vienna Tractor Pull will substantially help this family and relieve some of the financial burden and stress during this difficult time.
