Description
On Tuesday, November 10th, we're excited to welcome the Maquoketa River Watershed Management Authority to the brewery for Stories of the Watershed. The Maquoketa River runs right behind the brewery, making the health of our local watershed about more than just the landscape around us. It's part of the community we're proud to be part of and this history of this building. For this special evening, guests will get to gather right inside our basement brewery (where all the beer is made) for a behind-the-scenes look and an evening of storytelling. Some of the Textile team will share a little of our own story, too... From the transformation of the former sewing factory to the gathering space that stands today. We'll also talk about our efforts to conserve water and brew more efficiently. We'll also hear stories from others whose lives are connected to the Maquoketa River Watershed, with plenty of reminders of how the land, water and people around us are all connected. And the organization bringing us together is doing important work. The Maquoketa River Watershed Management Authority brings communities across nine Iowa counties together to address flood mitigation, improve water quality and promote healthier soils. Their work helps shape the future of the watershed we share, and we're proud to support their efforts. Your $25 ticket includes: - A beverage - Complimentary appetizers - A special behind-the-scenes experience inside our working brewery - An evening of local stories and a chance to support the health of our watershed Doors and gathering: 5:30-8pm Storytelling begins: 6:30pm
