Milling Technician Position

Overview The Milling Technician is responsible for producing and packaging high quality grain based products. 2nd and 3rd shifts available.
Key Responsibilities • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMPs). • Perform activities associated with the production and packaging of flour blends and puffed products. • Document and identify process issues or concerns. Provide basic recommendations for resolution. • Document and report production of product. • Assist in the monitoring and compliance with the food safety program. • Perform general housekeeping activities. • Assist in the monitoring and compliance with food safety program. • Perform general housekeeping activities. • Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of Ancient Brands Milling and standards established by Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
What is expected of you and others at this level • Performs operations of production equipment as trained by senior production team. • Completes a variety of atypical assignments. • Has the ability to operate a forklift safely. • Works with a limited degree of supervision. • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required • Basic experience in Microsoft Office • ERP/material management systems (not required but helpful) • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and to meet deadlines • Ability to write and verbally communicate in a professional manner • Must be a self-starter • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
